Aerial photography in Antarctica is in its infancy and drones may only be flown with a scientific or commercial license. The majority of drone photographs have been taken for penguin and seal surveys by researchers from the Penguin Watch group at Oxford and Oxford Brooks University and are complimented by shots from the ground.
